Overview

Coral West Community Hospital is a community hospital located in Florida, United States, providing accessible healthcare services for local neighborhoods. The hospital needed an indoor ADA-compliant wayfinding signage system with a consistent appearance and colors that matched its official brand standards. LC Sign produced 330 wayfinding signs to create a cohesive hospital signage system, maintaining consistent colors across different materials and production batches while providing customized crate consolidation and floor-by-floor kit separation for easier delivery and installation.

Challenges
  • Cross-Material and Multi-Batch Color Control: Each sign features an aluminum composite panel backer with a natural brushed aluminum finish and UV-printed branding on the top header, combined with a thick painted acrylic fascia panel. The main challenge was the requirement to maintain consistent colors across different materials and production batches. The painted acrylic had to precisely match the UV printing on the metal headers, accurately reproducing the hospital’s brand green and specified Pantone red alert signs across multiple production phases.
  • Floor-by-Floor Sorting and Cross-Order Logistical Packing: Managing a volume of exactly 330 units—comprising hanging signs, main directories, floor IDs, and individual room ADA signs—demanded rigorous fulfillment tracking. The logistical challenge was to reorganize products from multiple orders into floor-specific installation kits, ensuring that items from the same floor across different orders were consolidated into the same crates for efficient delivery and on-site installation.

Process

Phase 1: Material Finishing and Cross-Material Color Calibration

The fabrication process focused on precise material processing and strict color-engineering protocols. The team calibrated acrylic paint formulas to match UV-printed aluminum headers, eliminating color differences and ensuring the hospital’s official green standard. At the same time, the specialized solid red alert signs were processed with precise coating cycles to achieve a perfect match with the client’s designated Pantone codes.

Phase 2: Multi-Batch Execution and Order Processing

Production lines efficiently managed the phased project requirements. The team first completed the initial production batch of 236 units, followed by an additional 94 units for the project expansion. Across the entire project timeline, these shipments fulfilled the site’s diverse needs for hanging signs, directories, floor IDs, and room plates, with quality checks ensuring consistent structural and visual standards across all production runs.

Phase 3: Floor-by-Floor Kit Packing and Cross-Order Consolidation

To support efficient on-site installation, LC Sign implemented a strict product sorting process. Products from different orders were reorganized by floor and consolidated into corresponding crates, creating independent installation kits for Floors 1, 2, and 3. Through customized packaging solutions, LC Sign maximized container space utilization while ensuring clear product identification after unboxing, improving delivery and installation efficiency on site.

Outcomes & Project Milestones
  • Strict Cross-Material & Pantone Matching: Delivered a 330-piece hospital wayfinding system exhibiting perfect color alignment between painted acrylic panels and UV-printed metal headers, while ensuring 100% compliance with both the hospital’s green branding and the designated red Pantone color specifications across separate manufacturing batches.
  • Accurate Cross-Order Logistical Consolidation: Successfully matched and integrated all Floor 2 and Floor 3 products from Order 3 directly into the shipping crates of their designated counterparts from Order 1, fully satisfying the client’s customized multi-order packing rules.
  • Dependable Multi-Batch Fulfillment: Demonstrated exceptional manufacturing adaptability by seamlessly processing three distinct orders split, perfectly balancing the output between the 236 units from the initial run and the 94 supplementary units to adapt fluidly to the reseller partner’s staged procurement cycles and expansion requests.
